Ian & Naomi’s Mexican Inspired, Colourful Wedding… With a Mariachi Band, Tuk Tuk + Tequilla!

A Colourful Chester Wedding…

I have a lovely, colourful wedding to brighten up your Thursday morning!

Naomi and Ian wanted a fun-filled, colour pop wedding full of Mexican inspired details such as a Mariachi band, tuk tuts, bright blooms, buffet and lots of tequila. Held at their local Music venue Alexanders Live, they were able to throw the ultimate party for their family and friends.

Ian + Naomi’s wedding was so awesome! It had Tuk Tuks, a mariachi band and took place in a music venue! Whats not to love! These guys know how to throw a wedding. So much fun!

Favourite moment of the day…

The whole day was awesome, I really enjoyed the bridal prep and heading down to the river to shoot some portraits in the Tuk Tuks where we were met by their awesome dog!

Tell us how you met and got engaged…

We met in 6th form but then didn’t see each other for 7 years and only got back in touch via Facebook where we arranged our first date. 7 years later Ian took me flying and proposed to me while flying a four seater Piper Arrow over Snowdonia with a beautiful emerald engagement ring.

How did you meet?

After working with each other for a couple of years as teachers at a school in Leeds, we were on the same duty every Friday for a year and realised that we were more interested in talking to each other than the students. We were at y11 Prom and our mutual friend, Charlie (who officiated for us on the day) said, “Mr. Bentley fancies you.” After some drinks and dancing, we ending up shamelessly flirting at Smokestack in Leeds. That was it – from that moment, we’ve been together.

How did you get engaged?

Before we went on holiday to Thailand (where my mum lives), Alex said that he though we should buy a ring. Obviously, I had to contain my excitement and as we were walking through a shopping centre in Bangkok, we saw THE ring and went back to buy

The colourful, Indian-English fusion wedding of Corinne and Adam at Cain Manor, Surrey…

Fun and fusion wedding…

Today’s wedding is a real treat – a gorgeous fusion of English and Indian love held at Cain Manor in Surrey. The couple wanted to bring the city to the country, and they did that – and they brought the heat with them.

With stationery and favours totally designed by the groom and paying homage to their bonding over curry and Earl Grey, they got married under a bright and bold balloon installation, totally making the venue their own. It started off with a gorgeous confetti ceremony and ended with a mosh pit and a broken toe…

Tell us why you love this wedding.

I loved this wedding because it was so alternative and unique – Corinne and Adam turned a formal wedding venue into something completely different. It was so lovely to see all their ideas and plans come together – they really did ‘ROCK THE MANOR’.

We became really good mates at work because we shared a love of tea and taking way too many tea breaks, then realised we also both loved curry, Guinness and early 2000 UK garage. The rest is history!

A tropical, glitter-filled Ibiza wedding at the legendary Pikes Hotel…

Colourful, Hedonistic Ibiza Wedding…

What a wedding to start the week!

Cara & Tod’s incredible Ibiza wedding included two ceremonies which took place over five days; ending up at the iconic Pikes Hotel for a hedonistic, colourful celebration filled with glitter, sequins, pink tropical suits and mermaids… Yes you heard right MERMAIDS!

I can honestly say that if I was to get married now, this style of wedding would be right up my street. I can’t think of anything better than jetting off to the white island with my nearest and dearest to soak up the warm weather, Ibiza music scene and to party on the island that never sleeps!

A huge thanks to Matt Parry Photography for the amazing photos and thanks to Cara & Tod for being our beautiful cover stars for our new 2018 Magazine

Why you love this wedding…

I loved this wedding because I love the boho vibe of the Keeper and the Dell – it’s also no secret that I bloody love Norfolk. It’s my happy place – so stumbling across the Keeper and the Dell was just a dream come true. I love Kiera and Aiden – they were so laid back and such a good laugh – they have remained lovely friends. I adore colour too so this wedding ticked a lot of my boxes!

Favourite details of the day…

The flowers by Kiera’s aunt – so wild, unstructured and colourful. The venue – to die for – rustic, cool, boho. The way that they had styled the marquee and the picnic lunch which was also absolutely to die
