What an epic year!!…

Well, we’re at the end of another year but what a year it’s been!

We’ve had an incredibly busy 2016 here at Mr and Mrs Unique, with so many amazing suppliers joining the team, some awesome shoots and of course, lots of down-right gorgeous weddings! I’ve rounded up some of my faves to share with you…enjoy!

Urban Warehouse, Festival Wedding…

With a big love of festivals and gigs, Molly & David wanted to throw their own mini music festival, and bring the outside inside with an urban warehouse venue. They literally used their venue, Testbed1, as a blank canvas by taking chalk to the walls and creating a truly unique backdrop. Captured by the awesome Assassynation, I just LOVE this wedding!

Emma from ELS Photography describes herself as “obsessed with documenting love” and she does it oh so well; capturing those emotive moments, artisitic shots and natural beauty – her style is fun, vibrant and beautiful!

You can check out more of Emma’s work on her website or her MMU directory listing.

Lucy Can’t Dance…

Lucy is the creative bridal wear designer behind Lucy Can’t Dance. Quirky and colourful; these dresses are ideal for non- traditional brides that are looking for something bit different for their day.

Still so in love with her epic dip dye creations and I’m sure they’re going to be a big hit with brides in 2017! You can see more at the Lucy Can’t Dance website or directory listing.

Industrial Monochrome & Pretty Floral Bridal Inspiration…

This bridal shoot put together by Mr & Mrs Unique members All Things Borrowed is one of my favourites this year. With the black and white industrial backdrop of The Holt, the copper & mirrored flower pots, a stunning black cake, a unique bar and tons of pretty wedding flowers, you have plenty to swoon over!

I love the fact they have taken a empty event space and filled it with so much style, colour and gorgeous wedding inspiration – check out the rest of the shoot here.

If you take a look through Ed Godden‘s work, you will see he has been part of some of the coolest weddings out there, with THE most awesome, fun couples! This one man team goes above and beyond what you’d usually expect from a photographer, and you can see from his images that he beautifully captures all of those important, special moments so well.

We’re a huge fan of Ed and I’m sure you will be too…Head over to his website here or take a peek at his directory listing.

Stylish, Colourful, Flower filled Jewish Wedding…

Bridesmaid goals, dress goals, flower goals…this wedding is just AmaZing and easily one of my favourites of the year hands down!!  The wedding of Raphaella & Jedd took place at Easy City Studios in Cape Town; full of colour, fun and a stylish italian Dolce & Gabbana vibe, I just love it!

Shanna Jones did such a great job at capturing the love; check out the rest of the images here.

Jane Bowler…

Jane Bowler has taken the wedding world by storm this year and I can certainly see why! Jane creates innovative, cutting-edge designs for the modern bride. The team create tactile surfaces using their signature hand printed and hand cut plastics. Not only are they totally unique pieces, some pieces are reversible so a bride can transform her look from day to evening. I love that Erica also worked as a bridal consultant for this shoot <3

Head over to the website here to see more.

So there we have it, roll on 2017! A huge thank you to all of our incredible suppliers and readers, for being part of the Mr & Mrs Unique team. Much love x
