True Romance themed, Colourful Wedding Inspiration…
We have some awesome colourful wedding inspiration for you today from the team behind The Wonderous Wedding Fair based in Southsea.
Alex from The Vintage Parade and Helen from Margot’s Wedding Magazine wanted to create a fun but edgy bridal shoot full of colour pop props, kitsch styling and modern bridal style; using suppliers who would appear at the wedding fair. Over to the team to tell us more…
Wonderous Wedding Fair…
Exhibitors were invited to take part in a styled shoot in September, all shot on location in Southsea to give visitors a taste of what to expect at The Wonderous Wedding Fair last November.
Alex said “We wanted to inspire bridal styling outside of tradition and show our customers that they don’t have to follow convention to rock a wedding”. As you can see the models were out and about at a variety of locations in the city, who would know this was shot in one city.
In the morning the scene was the back streets where street art erupts from the pavement. It was a perfect location for that urban and edgy look. The juxtaposition of the feminine dresses against the colours and street art painted on its walls along here wake you up. Jo from The Little Florist provided the most vibrant tropical bouquet that provided the cherry on the cake. The narrative was a couple getting married in Southsea, leaving their event and going to their honeymoon suite. The girls wanted to play on the kitschiness of the seaside town. Vinnie’s Vintage Vehicles yellow Cortina provide the perfect vehicle to accompany the scene.
After a quick change, the girls went to the harbor to meet at Pearl’s Resort. This gorgeous silver bullet created the intense reflection and perfect retreat from the bellowing winds. Here the two colour inspirations came together, as the palm print and the fluorescent pink, highlighted the soft pastel dresses. The dip-dyed dress designed by Louise Rose Couture and the whimsical dress created especially for the shoot by Forget me not designs was ethereal.
Along with the city streets, the girls took full advantage of the edgy and modern look of craft ale bar, The Wave Maiden, which would be bang on for your wedding reception if this shoot is your vibe. Helen was at the bar working with Levi from Cocktails Art and The Feather Balloon Company whilst Alex whisked everyone back to the last location. As well as props from Neon & Blush, the bar’s unique find provided some individual and uncommon accessories.
The Wonderous Wedding Fair will be back in Autumn on Sunday 28th October. To find out more click HERE
