Tell us how you met and got engaged…

We are one of those rare (not) modern couples who met… online, Tinder to be specific. We went to a cocktail bar and ended up in Camden (the mecca for alternative dates). We got engaged at Disneyland Paris.

How would you describe your wedding theme/ decoration?

Disco love themed kids party.

What were your favourite details?

The personalised vows which had a shout out to Pearl Jam and a reference to Parks and Recreation. The mariachi band playing as guests arrived, pick and mix in buckets and spades.

Was your favourite part of the day?

There was a point we had made our vows, our speech, our first dance and everyone was getting a bit wasted. We looked around and nearly everyone was dancing, there were groups of people who had never met but were all shaking their booties on the dance floor together and that was our fave.

How was your day unique?

We decided to only keep traditions that suited us.

An Urban, Low-Key Inspiration Shoot in Brighton…

Retro, Music Venue Bridal Inspiration…

Today we have an alternative, low-key inspiration shoot with cool Rock n Roll vibes.

Shot at popular Brighton music venue, Green Door Store, this collaboration has chic styling, fabulous florals from Bettie Rose (a Mr & Mrs Unique supplier,) and a super cool Bride in a jumpsuit…

We were all really keen on the idea of using green as a soft natural, calm colour against the harsh brickwork of the venue and also it fit very nicely with the Green Door Store itself. I added touches of yellow to the flowers to highlight some of the yellow detail in the venue and also some whites to lighten and brighten.

Our inspiration was the Green Door Store, a music venue local to us in Brighton. We loved the exposed brickwork and got pretty excited about styling the venue. The shoot evolved from there, once we had our rock and roll venue we found a couple of really stylish models and the shoot built itself around what we thought would work with them, the look took a bit of a retro 70’s turn. Once we found our beautiful model Danika we felt that a bridal jumpsuit was the only way forward!

The colour green became a real focus for us so finding out afterwards that Pantone
