The Colourful PomPom, London Pub Wedding of Lucy + Mike….

A Colourful London Wedding…

Happy Friday all!

What a treat we have for you today as we share with you the colourful London wedding of Lucy & Mike. They decided to hold their reception in a central London pub called The Eastern and filled it with homemade decor including tons of brightly coloured pompoms. Thanks to Lucy, Mike and Mr & Mrs Unique supplier Babb Photo for sharing this awesome day with us.

Over to them to tell us more…

How was your day unique?

We always liked the idea of a London pub wedding. We live here; it’s home and it felt easy for our two families as it was in the middle of them both!
We looked around a couple of pubs for the reception, but The Easton was something else – lovely food, nice atmosphere, a really good big room and somewhere that we could decorate. Asia House was where we had our ceremony. It’s an amazing Georgian townhouse; we walked in and just thought wow! It was a really lovely place to get married, and the ceremony room felt very special to us.

What were your favourite details?

A while ago I made a pompom garland for our fireplace, and thinking how pretty it looked, I decided that it would be a great idea to make some pompoms …

Intimate Afternoon Tea, London Wedding of Kim & Jody…

Small, Local and Personal…

Today’s wedding is simple, intimate but oh so cute!

Kim & Jody were married at the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow with their closest friends & family, followed by a charming afternoon tea and dinner at a local restaurant – perfect!

Tell us how you met and got engaged…

We met in the glamorous world of Local Authority and were friends (completely innocently) for 4 years. Jody even interviewed me for a job once! Then the stars aligned 3 years ago and we were both single at the same time… the rest is history!

Jody asked me to marry him the day before our 2 year anniversary. It was in our garden and very intimate and personal to us (including the use of the model of a mythical woodland creature that we had seen in a shop in Hackney on one of our many walks on the canal). Jody isn’t very good at being patient so we were only engaged 6 months before the big day.

The ceremony – it meant the world!

How was your day unique?

We wanted a small and intimate wedding with just our families there. It was also very important to us that the wedding was local to us and everything we did was at a
