Tell us how you met and got engaged…

We are one of those rare (not) modern couples who met… online, Tinder to be specific. We went to a cocktail bar and ended up in Camden (the mecca for alternative dates). We got engaged at Disneyland Paris.

How would you describe your wedding theme/ decoration?

Disco love themed kids party.

What were your favourite details?

The personalised vows which had a shout out to Pearl Jam and a reference to Parks and Recreation. The mariachi band playing as guests arrived, pick and mix in buckets and spades.

Was your favourite part of the day?

There was a point we had made our vows, our speech, our first dance and everyone was getting a bit wasted. We looked around and nearly everyone was dancing, there were groups of people who had never met but were all shaking their booties on the dance floor together and that was our fave.

How was your day unique?

We decided to only keep traditions that suited us.

The Middle-Eastern Inspired, Disco Wedding of Rox & Kev…

Cultural, glitter filled celebration…

Today’s wedding is eclectic, stylish and fun – right up our street!

Rox & Kev wanted to ensure their day included a mix of their unique traditions and passions; A traditional Catholic service followed by a disco-inspired reception, and unique Iranian catering. Oh, and the Bride’s outfit – LOVE!

Why you love this wedding…

An extremely lovable couple mixed with unique variety of styles and cultures made for a very original day. I had so much fun.

What were the couple’s requirements…

Other than getting some dancefloor action it was a very relaxed brief and left me free to capture as I saw fit.

Favourite details of the day…

The belly dancer was so much fun

Favourite moment of the day…

It had to be Nan watching the ceremony via a video call in the church. They stopped to wave on their way back down the aisle and seeing Rox get emotional was very touching.

Tell us how you met and got engaged…

We met in a bar in the Northern Quarter, Manchester over a pint of ale and some jazzy trousers. Our engagement took place in Wapping, London – underneath the silts of the Prospect Of Whitby Pub on the beach of the River Thames, the night before we were picking up the keys
