Unique Marriages on Mr & Mrs Unique…
As you know, we have some awesome suppliers here at MMU, but I wanted to take some time to look back on some of the super cool couple’s that we’ve featured on the blog too. I’m always wowed by their creativity and how comfortable they are to step outside the box to make their weddings truly unique.
The weddings we share with you are always packed with fab ideas and inspiration galore, so here are some of our favourites…
Mel & Craig’s attention to detail was second to none, from the styling, the homemade name badges, and the outfits to the overall vibe of the day. They wanted to create a day that was relaxed, unique and personal to them, and they achieved just that. The 50’s theme brings a tonne of bright colours, a Hawaiian tiki bar, an awesome venue, lots of flamingos, and some down right cool dresses!
Matt & Mel had a super cool, relaxed festival wedding, which I absolutely love! With a big emphasis on fun and entertainment, they brought in a bouncy castle and rodeo bull, teamed with a cider-pig drinks van for an all-round festival fun feel. All of this followed on from a personal hand-fasting blessing, with all the guests sat on hay bales! With almost everything being handmade, they definitely put their own personal stamp onto their wedding, with some awesome results!
Make way for a colour explosion!! With no particular theme, Kerry & Max’s wedding was all set around rainbows, the seaside and camping. I love the fact that they went completely against the ‘rules’ of wedding planning, and simply included what they loved. Fish & chips were served for dinner, followed by a dessert of mini doughnuts, and an evening snack of candy floss and popcorn! Kerry also had an amazing Couture Company dress, accompanied by a handmade felt flower bouquet – you don’t get much cooler than that!
Jess & Kev’s awe-inspiring warehouse wedding is a favourite of ours at Mr & Mrs Unique. They kept it vibrant with some super cool paper decorations, an abundance of beautiful flowers and some gorgeous cakes. After the church ceremony they hit a river side outdoor bar for cocktails and then moved into a vast but beautifully decorated warehouse. Teamed with lots of music, a fab band, amazingly cute bridesmaids outfits, and a whole lotta love, this wedding is just awesome!
Becky & Paul are a truly unique, alternative couple with a wedding to match! Becky’s dress was another amazing Couture Company creation, which she combined with some ultra cool Irregular Choice shoes. Like many of our couples, it was all about DIY decorations, cakes and headpieces for that personal touch, all set in a fantastic venue to bring it altogether…love it!
I bet most couples can’t say they walked down a bowling alley to say their ‘I do’s’, right? Well that’s exactly what Emma & Rich did! This quirky couple chose the perfect venue for the informal, fun wedding they wanted and it works so well. With their own private room and set of bowling alleys, their guests were able to join in the fun too.
I LOVE the styling for Michelle & Jason’s barn wedding. This cool couple filled an old barn with bright modern colours, and homemade details. As a collage illustrator, Michelle loves cheerful colours and fun typography and included this in all aspects of the décor. They also brought in framed artwork and objects from their own to add that personal touch, and it all works SO well. Plus, did you see Michelle’s amazing gold sparkly wedding shoes!?
Well there you have it, a bunch of amazing real weddings jam packed with inspiration from an array of different couple’s…you’re very welcome!! Xx
