Cool London Wedding with Pretty Florals + DIY Decor at the Core, Clapton

What’s not to love about todays London wedding!

Kelly & George had a fun filled wedding held at the Core in Clapton. I absolutely ADORE the simple white backdrop alongside the abundance of pretty florals that surrounded their ceremony.

Plus those red embroidered shoes paired with that gorgeous non wedding dress by London designer Renli Su… absolute perfection!!

Over to the couple to tell us more about their day…

Was there an overall theme to your day?

The idea behind our wedding was for guest to feel like they were at a family party with good food, good wine and good music. We wanted the atmosphere to be relaxed and fun.

How would you describe your day?

Our day was about celebrating our relationship with our family and friends. The day was full of laughter, tears of joy and euphoric dancing.

How long were you planning it for, and what was the best bit?

After being together for 13 years, we wanted to get married as soon as possible so we got married a year after getting engaged. We really enjoyed

A Midsummer Night’s Dream + Shakespeare inspired wedding at Owlpen Manor, Cotswolds

Midsummer Night’s Dream inspired Wedding at Owlpen Manor…

Afternoon folks!

Today we have the smashing wedding of Sonnie & Max who celebrated their marriage at Owlpen Manor in the Cotswolds.

Their day was filled with an abundance of flowers, garden games, street food, magic tricks and Shakespeare references.

Over to Max and Sonnie to tell us more about their day…

Max + Sonnie…

A midsummer nights dream wedding, axe throwing, Cotswold wedding Flowers, dogs at weddings, festival wedding, fireworks at weddings, floral crown, heart and dagger suit, heart full of tea photography, magic at wedidngs, magicial wedding, marquee wedding, outdoor wedding, owlpen manor, shakespear inspired wedding, streetfood at weddings

How did you meet?

Both of us come from Somerset, but weirdly we didn’t meet there. We actually met at Italia Conti Drama School, where we both trained as actors.

How did you get engaged?

We got engaged on a trip to Loch Awe, in Scotland. Sonnie had booked the holiday, so I had the perfect cover. It was pouring with rain during a trek up to Avich waterfall and I almost delayed, because it was so stormy, but the waterfall is stunning and I went for it. As I went down on one knee the rain stopped and the sun came out. Magic!

Was there an overall theme to your day?

We played with ideas around Shakespeare’s plays and locations. All the tables were locations and all the guests had their own character. Our favourite was casting our 1yr old Nephew as Falstaff, a belching drunkard.

Everything else was set around A Midsummer Night’s Dream. We tried as much as possible

An intimate Devon elopement… Amy & Will’s perfect wedding at Millbrook Estate

Intimate Elopement at Millbrook Estate…

Have you ever considered dropping the big wedding plans and perhaps elope instead? There are obviously those who would like to throw a big blow-out wedding surrounded by family and friends; but there is also a growing number of couples that would like to hold a small intimate wedding with just a few of their nearest and dearest, or even a romanic ceremony for just two.

Either way, the decision of how you get married should be down to the you. There are many reasons why you may consider to elope… romance, anxiety, family issues or maybe budget, but the end result is still the same; that you become legal partners and say those all important vows to one another.

Today we share the gorgeous elopement of Amy and Will who decided to have a very personal ceremony with just the two of them…

How did the couple find you?

Strangely, a wedding fair. I say “strangely” as I never do wedding fairs. Maybe I should do more? They were initially looking for a photographer to cover a wedding party they were throwing for a few days after their elopement. When they mentioned “elopement” I asked if they had a photographer for that. They hadn’t yet, and the rest is history.

A vibrant Scottish + Mexican multicultural wedding held at East Soar Farm, Devon

A colourful multicultural wedding in Devon…

What a joyful wedding we have to share with you today!

Bride Lupe and groom Doug chose East Soar Farm on the coast of Devon to hold their spectacular outdoor ceremony. They both wanted their wedding day to be a celebration of both their cultures; with colourful Mexican Day of the Dead inspired decor working alongside some traditional Scottish-English detailing.

From Mexican food, papel picado bunting and margaritas to bag pipes, tartan and Beatles songs; it was the perfect fusion of everything they both love.

Thanks to Emma Stoner for capturing it so beautifully….

Lupe & Doug…

How did you meet?

On a feature film set in New York that we were both working. Lupe was Doug’s boss.

How did you get engaged?

The proposal was a lovely at home affair. On a quiet morning that we were both off, Doug surprised me by wanted to make me breakfast in bed, Biscuits and Gravy (a popular Southern dish and my favorite). When he was done cooking, he asked me to join him in the living room, where he had snuck in a brand new Tiffany colored Bianchi road bike and was on one knee with a small bar of silver in a ring box. I had always told him I didn’t want a diamond, so he bought me a
