Styled and co-ordinated by the lovely ladies Georgina and Shannon from Ruby & Stardust, they created a really fun, inspirational circus themed shoot full of beautiful, ultra glam flowers, candy, light up letters and amazing outfits.
It also features tons of amazing wedding suppliers including our very own Mr & Mrs Unique supplier Beth from Mme-B- Boutique.. Watch out for her stunning fascinators and cool bridal hat!
Here Georgina from Ruby & Stardust tells us a bit about the idea behind the shoot and what they wanted to achieve…
We wanted to create a vintage circus shoot that had a nostalgic feel to it but at the same time embracing all the fun and vibrance of a modern day carnival. With a big top, ultra colourful flowers, light up letters and gold animal figurines, we really went to town and brought the fun of the circus to life.
Our couple got married outside of the big top under a wall of flowers studded with hidden golden animals. Our wedding breakfast table was a busy display of the most colourful flower combinations in a range of golden vases along with jars filled with candy floss and popcorn topped with our golden animals. We kept up the colour quota with red, yellow & blue wine glasses and tumblers.
We used a colourful retro floral print on our crockery and each place setting had a different coloured cupcake and a brooch or magnet as a placename. Handmade signs for the bride & groom’s seats were super cute and so easy to make!
Our sweet table was created in the corner of the tent, in front of a ribbon backdrop, with light up circus letters which were again DIY’d. We used vintage suitcases, crates, barrels and tree stumps to give the space a range of textures and heights which perfectly complimented the range of sweet treats on offer.
From a hundreds & thousands covered love cake to toffee apples, popcorn, over sized marshmallows and liquorice – there was something for everyone.
We used our super fun circus-themed invites, badges & magnets to double up as place names. Our bride’s bouquet was a delicious mix of colours, sizes, varieties and textures presented in a striped candy cone – perfection!
To compliment this our groom’s buttonhole was a single harlequin rose with a polka dot ribbon and gold leaves, it looked so fabulous against the print of the suit and the contrasting pocket square.
The dress was a dream come true with black and red corset covered in red roses topping the layers and layers of the skirt. The red top hat was designed to compliment the dress and it looked stunning.
