Modern London Wedding inspiration at The Century Club…

City chic is where it’s at today with this contemporary styled shoot from Mrs T Weddings.  Captured at London private members hot spot The Century Club, the styling takes inspiration from its rich soft furnishings and greenery statements.  If you’re thinking of an intimate wedding or elopement you’re going to find a lot of inspiration right here.

Mrs T Weddings…

In the heart of London, you find Soho, an area of such eclectic vibrancy, and here lies the welcoming venue, Century Club: a private members club situated over four floors with a roof terrace offering views across the UK capital. Century Club is the perfect example of a non-traditional city venue for any weather.

Where did you get your inspiration from?

Contemporary style with a focus on craftsmanship in London and a good dose of fun! The magic of knowing, and loving the gorgeous suppliers who make your wedding into that bespoke, unique and special day. Couples who know who they are and want a wedding to reflect that.  With the expertise of these awesome home-grown suppliers, you can be transported towards the magic of an unforgettable moment within the metropolitan which becomes the couples for that special day regardless of season.

How did you find the suppliers who made this concept come to life?

All the suppliers on this shoot are huge advocates for modern day craftsmanship, they want to get to know their couples and create bespoke relaxed luxury.

What details are your favourite, and why?

The bride’s look on the roof terrace sums up the beauty and sexiness of female empowerment to me. With the secret and intrigue of what happens behind the closed door of the private members club.  Boss-ing it with the fabulous Classique Bowen Dryden trouser suit, Rachel Sokhal earrings and hair clips, the bouquet with stunning roses and anemones by the fabulous Katrina at Cloud Hill Flowers and the jewellery including THAT diamond necklace by Phelans.

Do you have any styling tips for readers looking to emulate this shoot?

Don’t be afraid to take risks with who you choose as your suppliers.  On this shoot most of the suppliers hadn’t ever worked together, this kept everything fresh and original. Ensure you always share your vision and mood board with all your suppliers even if you think it might not be relevant.

What is it that makes your shoot unique?

With Mrs T Weddings everything is personal to that couple. With this in mind the suppliers of the shoot align to this ethos. Examples are Clements and Church’s bespoke personalised suits.  Stewart, the celebrant looks at the couple, such as the hand-fasting ceremony we had (we had a full ceremony on the shoot – Amelia and Andrei had to check if they were married after Stewart had finished – we confirmed they weren’t!)

The unique details by each supplier was epic.

What’s the most important tip you have for couples planning their wedding?

Get to know your suppliers, fall in love with them, make sure they are your kind of people – that way they will make sure your vision becomes a reality, as they totally get you. With the right crew, you’ll love your wedding planning. Working with each supplier and hearing their awesome creative ideas to make your day as special and unique as you.
