This week we took a little road trip to Tunnels Beaches in Devon to meet up with other Mr & Mrs Unique suppliers to take part in our latest photo shoot.
After a 6 hour trip down there we pulled up at the wonderful Aggies Cottage in Ilfracoombe, which was going to be our home for 2 nights. This beautifully decorated 3 bedroom cottage that slept 6, was a welcomed surprise and perfectly comfortable after our long drive- Highly recommended if you are looking to stay in north Devon.
Tuesday was a rather epic shoot day. Starting at 12pm, we didn’t rest until the last photo was captured by Laura from Babb Photo at 10pm… it was a long day, but the weather was perfect and the coastline was absolutely stunning. Who can complain about a day on the beach with lots of fun, creative wedding suppliers, all up for having a laugh whilst they work… not me for sure! I feel so lucky to work along side everyone that took part.
Wednesday was spent pretty much travelling home. The rest of the week Ive been chasing my tail trying to get back to all the emails I had received whilst I was away. I guess thats the only thing about leaving your commuter for a couple of days, the backlog of work! Plus I had some much needed hubby and kids catch up time- I always miss them so much when I’m away.
Saturday morning I woke quite frazzled so I sneaked off to a local cafe to have a bit of me time… I haven’t had anytime by myself recently. There was a time I would never go and sit in a cafe all by myself, but this was essential RnR time! Armed with a pot of tea for one, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon (on gluten free toast,) and a copy of Dazed & Confused, I whittled away a couple of hours before heading back to the manic household of husband and 2 kids!
A few emails and blog posts to sort today and then I’m off out to explore and enjoy the sunshine… Wishing you all a sunny Sunday! Xx
