Jess and Michael’s Yorkshire Tipi Wedding with Bright, Bold and Colourful Decor + Sunflowers

Yorkshire Tipi Wedding with Bright, Bold and Colourful Décor

Oh how we LOVE a bold and daring bride here at Mr and Mrs Unique, and this one ticks all the boxes! Jess and Michael held their fun, happy and colourful church-to-tipi wedding at Loversall Farm in Doncaster, Yorkshire. The couple had just one main objective when it came to their big day – to make everyone smile and throw the best part in town! You can see from Hip to Heart Photography’s incredible documentary style collection that absolutely everyone at this bright and cheerful celebration was having the time of their lives and more – we just wish we’d been invited!

With stunning bold and beautiful floral bouquets, a bustling sunflower lined top table, heaps of scrummy comfort food and a bride that truly lights up the room (or tipi!), this wedding is overflowing with  love and joy.

Here’s Laura from Hip to Heart with bride Jess to tell you all about the day….

How did the couple find you?

I think Jess found me through a Google search! The first time we spoke she said she’d done an entire day of research, so to be chosen after she’d looked through all of the amazing photographers out there was a huge compliment!

What was your favourite part of the day?

Alternative & Creative Wedding Styling…

Making your day stand out…

We have showcased some incredible real weddings here on our blog, so I thought we could go back and revisit some of them, and look at the amazing styling ideas that couples come up with for their big day…

Here are some of my favourites…

A fusion of English and Moroccan styling…

Hands down one of my favourite weddings we have ever featured!! Styled by the bride Natalie (who used to be a full time wedding stylist) and her husband, this wedding is a really successful fusion of English and Moroccan details with a dash of Indian styling thrown in there!

The wedding featured amazing marquees, a hookah bar, stunning flowers and incredible attention to detail. Just look at the coloured glassware, blowsy blooms, Indian welcome signs and ribbon chandeliers…  **Swoon**

For me its all about the detail in this wedding… from the beautiful bridesmaid gowns, the bright flowers, the sparkly red dorothy shoes to the origami bird alter.

Missy and Yoni’s wedding was photographed by the very talented Babb Photo and screams with personality and originality.

Taking a venue like The Asylum and filling it with colour and life… its really quite special! The day of the dead cake and …
