Festive Tipple…

Christmas time is here! To celebrate, we welcome back Natasha from Nevie-Pie Cakes who has shared a scrummy homemade Irish Cream recipe with us…I’ll definitely be giving this one a try!

Natasha…

Well Christmas is just around the corner, and rather than risk the bun fight of the shopping malls why not create some homemade presents this year! I know that the phrase ‘homemade’ can conjurer up images of sub-standard gifts, when I was a child I made peppermint creams every year, they were neon green and a variety of unrecognisable shapes, but a homemade gift can be beautiful and delicious.
I have been making Irish cream for many years and I have to say it’s one of the most gorgeous drinks I have ever quaffed. It brings to mind the nectar of the gods because they surely would be tempted by such a rich creamy chocolaty alcohol fueled tipple.
This recipe for Irish cream was given to me about 25 years ago by a vicar, (so surely it is blessed) and has been made nearly every year since. It always goes down a storm and, even if you are not a fan of the commercial stuff, I promise, you will love this. It is so easy to make, taste like heaven, and you must keep the biggest bottle for yourself.

The Urban Warehouse, Festival Wedding of Molly & David…

Colourful, Warehouse Party…

We’ve got a super cool, festival themed wedding for you today; shot by MMU supplier, Assassynation.

With a big love of festivals and gigs, Molly & David wanted to throw their own mini music festival, and bring the outside inside with an urban warehouse venue. They literally used their venue, Testbed1, as a blank canvas by taking chalk to the walls and creating a truly unique backdrop – love it!

Name of the couple: Molly & David

Venue: Testbed1, Battersea

Tell us how you met…

D and are the proverbial high school sweethearts, we’ve been together since we were teenagers as weird as that is this day and age!  We met at international school when we were living in Indonesia.  He remembers meeting me at a friend’s house, but it took him agreeing to buy me a beer at a bar (when I had run out of money so ever-so-politely asked him – classy lady that I am) for me to remember him!  After a short run of 15 years together, we decided it was finally the right time to get hitched!  I’m so glad we waited, despite so many years of ‘will you guys every get married?’ from friends and family!  I’m glad we waited for our perfect time because we had the confidence to make it
