Curious Fair DIY Project… Silver leaf bowl

Curious Fair Silver Leaf Bowl DIY project_0001 DIY Silver Leaf Bowl…

Today the creative duo at Curious Fair have provided us with a really simple but effective DIY project, a silver leaf bowl.

What I love about this is that you can use any sized balloons to create different shapes and also change the spray paint to a colour that suits your wedding colours. You could fill them with fruit, sweets, favours and really adds an autumnal feel to your day.

Step 1…

Enjoy an autumnal walk collecting interesting shaped leaves as you go! Make sure they are malleable and not too stiff otherwise they won’t stay in place. Mix PVA glue with a little water to make a ‘papier mache’ style paste.

Mother’s Day Treat…

You may be already aware that I’m a massive fan of Nevie-Pie Cakes and also Natasha, the cake baking genius behind each design.

Natasha specialises in hand painted cakes, cookies and cupcakes. She has created delicious and visually stunning cakes for celebrity clients, Selfridges and The Kerrang Awards to name a few. She also takes part in innovative edible projects such as Eat Your Heart Out and even appeared on Blue Peter making gruesome eyeball pops for Halloween! Do you remember the ashtray hen do cake that hit the headlines last year? Well that was Natasha too!

And thats what I love about her… she creates these stunningly beautiful cakes that any bride would want on her big day… but she has a sense of humour and loves to take risks and play around with her skills. Thats why I love inviting her to our Mr & Mrs Unique photo shoots, she always creates something incredible.

Well, you’re in for a treat as she is happy for me to share her Mother’s Day Craft & Bake Cake, so over to Natasha…

I can still remember getting up early and picking a bunch of daffodils from the garden. Putting them in a vase and using them to decorate a breakfast tray which I would carefully carry up to my Mum who would still …
