Doily Days Mini Bar…

Doil Days MINI BAR_0001

We welcome Doily Days new venture…

The lovely Helen from Doily Days recently got in touch to  tell us about their new venture… a new retro mobile bar.

Doily’s Mini Bar is a mobile bar ‘set’ including vintage wallpapered walls (complete with flying ducks, antlers and retro pictures), a 1950s cocktail bar with kitsch props, additional service areas, glassware and fridges.

The staffed (dressed in quirky tabards) can provide a package to suit your event needs. From serving welcome cocktails to wine for your tables, bubbly for your toast and a full range of drinks in the evening. Either that, or the set and staff can be hired to serve your own drinks.

Doily’s Mini Bar is brought to you by Doily Days who publish an alternative wedding magazine. MD/Editor Helen Ruff has four years hands-on experience in the wedding industry – running bars, managing catering arrangements, organising transport and event styling.

You can rest assured, if you entrust your bar arrangements to Doily’s Mini Bar, you won’t be disappointed. Helen and the team pride themselves on careful attention to detail with regard to the authentic retro look/feel and exceptional service.

The bar set can be set-up inside or outside (gazebo provided).

What Makes The Bar Unique…

The look and feel of Doily’s Mini Bar is kitsch and quirky. From pineapples on the bar …

A Quirky & Original Australian Wedding

Mr & Mrs Butcher

I saw this wedding on Christine Lim‘s photography blog and completely fell in love with the details in this wedding! The dress, the venue, the styling- So much time, thought and energy must of gone into it, for it to look so perfect but at the same time, so natural! Ive loved looking through these images, hope you will too.

What made your wedding day unique:

We wanted our day to be an intimate, special occasion that reflected both of us, our love and our lives together while being romantic and whimsical in the old fashioned, home-made sort of way. Ever since I was little I have always noticed and valued the little personal touches that people put in and I think that those little touches are absolutely vital in creating an atmosphere filled with warmth and happiness so we went to town and filled the whole day with them!

I am and always have been a bit of a “collector”, I like to use the word collector instead of hoarder although Leon would definitely use the “H” word if you ask him, but it all came in handy because we used everything and anything that i had collected over the years to decorate our venues and it couldn’t have looked more perfect and “us”.

Any advice to couples planning
