Extraordinary Wedding Table Settings…

Adding the wow factor to table displays…

Today we’re bringing you some extraordinary table setting throwbacks from some exciting shoots and featured weddings. From the fabulously floral to the downright wacky, there is inspiration galore for you! The creativity of our couples and suppliers is truly outstanding, and it was super hard to narrow the list down, but here are my favourites…enjoy!

A Tim Burton Inspired Wedding…

First up is this gloriously gothic Tim Burton inspired bridal shoot, complete with ‘Billy’ the squirrel! This shoot was created by the lovely Erin from Way Out Wedding, and beautifully styled by Lou from Beyond Vintage. We love this shoot here at MMU and wanted to give you a little more insight into how the inspiration came about and how the styling was put together on the day. Over to Erin and Lou!…

The inspiration for the shoot was simply Tim Burton. The team members are all huge fans of the quirky gothic styling he brings to his films, and so our Pinterest planning board was fantastic!! We focused on his women characters to bring it into the bridal world, and we had a two-part story: one was how his blonde and innocent heroines (e.g. Johanna in Sweeney Todd) would dress for a wedding, and the other was how his anti-heroines (Victoria from The Corpse Bride,

Art deco & geometric design…

I had the pleasure of meeting up with the lovely Kate from Lavender & Linen at Tie The Knot Wedding Carnival a few weeks ago at Elmore Court. Its always so nice to catch up with her and yet again Kate pulled it out of the bag and designed a gorgeous table setting for all the visiting couples to look at and be inspired by. Lucky for you, Kate got in touch and asked if our readers would like to hear more about how she put the look together… and I snapped her arm off -a big fat yes please!!

So I’ll leave it to Kate to fill you in further:

I had the pleasure of designing our stand for the recent Tie The Knot Carnival at Elmore Court. I began with drawing together a few ideas in a moodboard (below) centred around an Art Deco/geometric design, which I then pulled together with a gold, teal, grey and navy blue colour palette. These colours suited our vintage glassware perfectly, including amber and gold wine, water and champagne glasses, and of course our striking blue and clear glass bottles which made a perfect centrepiece filled with intricate paper flowers. Some gold spray painted gypsophila in a vintage jug and a few sparkling vintage decanters
