Vintage Wedding inspiration With A Modern Twist…

Today we’re bringing you a gorgeous creative project put together by one of our suppliers, Natalie at Curious Fair, and the wonderful Kiki from Chosen Wedding Fair and The Hub. It’s also great to see a handful of other MMU suppliers featuring including HEY Style Hire, Rock the Frock Bridal Boutique and Wilden Bride!

This vintage inspired bridal shoot took place at The Art Pavilion in Mile End; a blank canvas flooded with tonnes of natural light – beautiful! With a muted, contemporary colour palette, unique homeware pieces and lots of sweet treats, this shoot is as girly and fun as they get!

I wanted to create a fresh take on the theme, using contemporary trends to create a dreamy, slightly surreal look. The shoot is based around the relationship between a bride and her best friend, girls just having fun before the guests arrive.

Looking back at sixties design we picked out iconic shapes & imagery, muting the colour palette to give it a fresh look. We love sourcing unique items and introducing our couples to our favourite suppliers and Chosen Wedding have a selection of incredibly talented contacts through the Chosen Wedding fairs who together we

Stunning Couture Wedding Cakes…

I first met Sally from Swt Creation when she took part in one of our Mr & Mrs Unique bridal photo shoots last year and MAN this lady can bake! Sally created two cakes for us and the first thing you notice is the incredible amount of detail that has gone into each cake. Each cake design is unique, intricate and bursting with creativity.

Tell us a bit about your business…

Swt Creation has been around for 2 years and we make delicious fabulous cakes from cupcakes to wedding cakes. With my background of being a pastry chef we also specialise in making are own array of Macarons, French patisseries, lemon tarts, mini crouquen bouches to soufflés.

What made you start up the business…

I have always loved making cakes since being a child and as I grew up I put myself into Chef College and went into Patisserie. From there I went to train in in London at Christopher Wrens in Windsor where I learnt so much. Following this I then trained over in Paris to the level of Michelin standard; so having the passion for cakes
