The Hub… A totally inspiring day

A Workshop for Creative Wedding Professionals…

Back in June I was asked to attend and speak at The Hub, organised by the lovely Kiki from the Chosen Wedding Collective. I cant say I wasn’t nervous speaking in front of lots of people, but I managed ‘ok’! I really wanted to challenge myself to do it; I think its always great to step outside of your comfort zone, and try new things!

Should I of been nervous…?! Hell no! What a wonderful bunch of wedding professionals all eager to learn, network and find their own way within the wedding world!

Everything about the day was a huge credit to Kiki and her team that worked on the event. The line up was incredible… it was amazing to see how others dealt with their business, tricks of the trade and to realise we are not alone out there….We are such an amazing, supportive community of hard working, creative people. From brand building and social media to inspiring business set ups, I could see note books being filled and questions being answered.

The most delicious lunch by Feast followed where we were able to sit down, chat and to meet everyone properly. There was a really cool styled chill out area by Curious Fair and stunning props by HEY Style, both Mr & Mrs Unique suppliers!

After lunch we got down to social media business with Dan from Hoot Suite and Sundari from The W Stylist who talked us through Instagram (wow, i really didn’t know how much that social media site has grown over the past year!)

Tea & Cakes followed, then last up was the lovely Olivia from Patchwork Present and wickedly funny Kirsten from the Little Wedding Helper.

To wrap things up we drank cocktails and swapped business cards with people that we had met that day. What a truly awesome event; something I’m very proud to have been part of. Hats off to Kiki for a first class inspiring day and fantastic networking event. Cant wait till the next one… who else fancies it?!

If you have a wedding business and are needing inspiration, practical advice on how to make your business stronger and would like to meet like minded wedding folk, I highly recommend you put a date in the diary to come along to the next one-  I hear there are some incredible speakers lined up!

The next Hub takes place in London on November 27th 2015 and you can book your tickets via the Chosen Wedding Collective website here.

Earlybird tickets are available until July 15th and full priced tickets until September. Anyone buying earlybird tickets will get bonus materials and access to their FB group. Get involved peeps! Xx

Some great ideas that will really put a unique stamp on anyone’s wedding here! Especially the oversized fairy lights. Looks like a useful afternoon event!
