At The Prop Factory make and hire unique props and furniture especially for weddings and events. Inspired by vintage and nostalgia, it shines through in the props we make. From our range of circus sign made from a set of old pub signs we rescued from a skip on Exeter Quay, to our blossom trees made from Wisteria out of my Mums garden, everything we make starts its life already full of history and character.
Our favourite themes that we cover well are circus, vintage, rustic, boho, seaside, festival, wonderland, Christmas and tropical. Props we are currently making for next season are ‘candy land’ and ‘wonderland’ alongside the continual accusation of furniture. Based in Devon we cover most of the UK.
We have a focus on sustainably and social responsibility. We make with recycled materials and try to produce as little waste as possible. We use traditional woodworking techniques rather than big machinery to keep our electricity consumption low. All our wood that isn’t reclaimed is FSC certified sustainable timber.
We buy local, even our company cheese and bread we make a point of shopping at local farm shop rather than the supermarket next door. We support many local and charitable events throughout the year by donating our props. We are also part of a foreign exchange program where we take on students for work experience from Europe; we have had 10 this year and are currently employing a marketing student on a three month placement until the end of 2017.
Making weddings awesome! We have a little bit of everything, which makes it easy to get a good proportion of your wedding supplies from one company. From table and chairs, props and light up letters to giant things like deckchairs, windmills, lollipops, flowers and more. We even supplier event staples like easels, table décor and signs so practical stuff too. Our signature props are our range of vintage style fairground games and our vintage sofas.
Most of our props are made in house by our prop builders. We use recycled materials wherever possible, which often dictates the outcome of the props making them truly unique. We have a special Prop Factory Instagram aside from our official Instagram, so you can follow our foraging and making adventures. Our collection has grown considerably in the last few years, and we don’t think there are many, if any other wedding companies that rival it. See our full collection here.
