A Unique & Eclectic Wedding Carnival…
It was that time of the year again when Binky from Binky Nixon Photography and I put our heads together and co-organise Tie The Knot Wedding Carnival.
This May we headed back to the glorious grounds of Hexton Manor and its Walled Garden. The sun shone, the wedding suppliers brought their a-game and we had an amazing turn out of keen couples searching for unique and eclectic wedding inspiration for their own big day.
Hexton’s marquee was full to the brim of wedding stalls from funky stationery to wedding stylists, amazing cake bakers to alternative wedding photographers and so much more! I really feel that Hertfordshire now has a base for all quirky and creative wedding suppliers to come and show what they do best!
Outside didn’t disappoint with MMU suppliers Funky Monkey Tents showcasing their new stretch marquee, which was also the base for How I Partied vintage tea and coffee shop , cool chill out kids area and light up wedding letters from Soper & Co.
To fill any hungry stomachs, we had street food covering Mexican with Cantina Carnitas, South American from Now Now and a good old smoked BBQ from Cardona & Sons.. Yum! I started eating early that day to make sure I could fit it all in!
We had some amazing wedding vehicles including a V8 Daimler and two very cool iconic Lambrettas from Go 60’s , plus Herbie the Photo Booth Beetle– how cool is that! Inside we also had TTK regulars The Republic of Photography and their glitter photo booth, which was hugely popular again with everyone that turned up.
The really best thing about Tie The Knot is when the sun shines and everyone turns up with their partners, friends, parents and kids to enjoy everything that goes on during the fair. To take in all the suppliers, grab a cup of tea, try out some of the street food, listen to the Winchester Collective spin some tunes and then sits back in the sunshine appreciating the grounds of Hexton. It really is turning into a family affair with all ages enjoying what was going on around them.
We are hoping to bring back Tie The Knot this Autumn so we will keep you posted on any dates and if we are taking TTK on tour again… Fingers crossed we are blessed with a sunny day again!!
A huge thank you to all the suppliers that took part and to all the visitors. Its wouldnt be the same without you! Here are some more images from the day…..
