Colourful, budget friendly, beautiful…
As you may know I’m partial to a bit of colour, so you can imagine my delight when colourful wedding dresses started to pop up everywhere this year! Whether is was soft pastels, floral embroidery, or coloured accessories, brides seem to be more brave about their choice and moved away from the typical white wedding dress.
So to celebrate this, I decided to get together a small group of Mr & Mrs Unique suppliers one afternoon for a mini photo shoot. The idea behind the shoot was to showcase that you don’t necessary have to spend a fortune on a wedding dress and to demonstrate how you could be brave with colour on your big day.
The three dresses used for the shoot were all under £200. The yellow and blue dress was vintage numbers from Jolly Brown Vintage and the white mini dress was from Topshop, with the gold sequin cardigan from ASOS.
The shoot took place at an amazing venue called South Farm in Royston, Cambs. The venue boasts stunning grounds, farm with livestock, tuk tuk rides and also a collection of original gypsy caravans, an amazing backdrop for the photos.
I was thrilled to have Binky from Binky Nixon Photography on board for the photo shoot, as she is so good at what she does. She is really passionate about her job and captures special moments with a natural artistic style.
I’m just loving the use of colour in bridal dresses at the moment… proves you don’t have to wear white to look amazing on your big day!
Whats your thoughts? Would you dare to be different?
